Private Family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Seeking a Nanny / Housekeeper
Position: Part-Time, Live-Out Nanny / Housekeeper
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 4pm – 9pm; plus one 5-hour block on Saturdays 8am – 2pm (scheduled 2–3 weeks in advance)
Salary: $26–$30 per hour, paid on the books, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP (flexible for the right candidate)
Relocation: No – local candidates preferred
About the Family
A warm and welcoming family located in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia is seeking an experienced and dependable Nanny / Housekeeper to support their busy household. They are looking for someone who is nurturing, organized, and proactive, with a genuine love for working with children and maintaining a well-run home.
Children: Three children – 11.5-year-old girl, 7.5-year-old girl, and 5.5-year-old boy
Home Size: Approximately 7,000 sq ft
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive after-school childcare, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment
- Support children with homework and create fun, educational activities
- Drive children to and from school and extracurricular activities (family vehicle provided)
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children, and occasionally for the family
- Perform full housekeeping duties including cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and tidying
- Manage laundry for the household, including washing, folding, putting away clothes, and changing bed linens
- Maintain organization throughout the home and manage household supplies
- Run errands such as dry cleaning pick-up and other household-related tasks
- Occasionally travel with the family, as needed

The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and highly organized, with a strong ability to balance childcare and housekeeping responsibilities. They should be warm, engaging, and capable of fostering a positive and structured environment for the children. A self-starter with excellent time management skills and a flexible, can-do attitude will thrive in this role. The family is seeking someone who is trustworthy, communicative, and interested in a long-term position.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a similar nanny/housekeeper role within a private household
- Excellent, verifiable references
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable driving children; family vehicle will be provided
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Valid passport and willingness to travel occasionally
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
