FULL-TIME NANNY → FAMILY ASSISTANT / HOUSE MANAGER
Newtown/Wrightstown, PA. The position will begin as a nanny + household support role this spring, and evolve into a family assistant / house manager role as we move into camp season and the school year.
- Position: Full-Time Live-Out NANNY → FAMILY ASSISTANT / HOUSE MANAGER
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm, Flexibility, occasional early mornings / later evenings when a parent is traveling or school is not in session, with additional pay
- Salary: $40–$45 per hour, guaranteed 40 hours, Payroll only (>40 hrs/week,1.5x overtime ), plus 2 weeks paid vacation, Paid major holidays, Sick days, Mileage reimbursement, Year-end bonus potential. Willing to consider a health insurance stipend if needed.
- Start Date: ASAP
- Relocation: No – local candidates only, must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
ABOUT THE FAMILY
A warm, genuinely kind, respectful, fun, active, and structured (but laidback!) family is seeking a Nanny / family assistant / house manager to become a true partner in a meaningful long-term role. They value kindness, structure, and a positive energy.
- Principals: 2, Busy professionals, both work from home, occasional out of town work travel
- Children: 2, (B)4 and (B)6.5 — active, fun, and full of personality. Older brother has been diagnosed with ADHD so they are looking for someone with experience supporting neurodiverse children to help with structure and engaging activities. He is in therapy 1 x week at Sensory Zone is a state-of-the-art pediatric sensory gym
- Pets: 3; Two dogs (Lab mix, and a Golden Retriever) + one senior cat
RESPONSIBILITIES:
CHILDCARE:
• School pickups + driving to activities, including occupational therapy 1 x per week
• Active, engaged play (indoors & outdoors)
• Playdates + routines
• Helping maintain structure and consistency
• Confidently managing behavior and sibling dynamics
HOUSEHOLD / FAMILY ASSISTANT
• Family laundry (wash, fold, put away)
• Transfer incoming dry cleaning to permanent hangers.
• Daily tidying/reset (biweekly cleaners handle deep clean)
• Grocery shopping + meal prep. (a passionate cook is desired)
• Maintain household inventory (paper goods, etc.)
• Errands (returns, post office, etc.)
• Calendar + kids’ scheduling
• Vendor coordination (repairs, deliveries)
• Travel packing/unpacking
• Pet care (feeding, letting dogs out, wiping paws as needed)
• Closet organization + rotating kids’ clothing
IDEAL CANDIDATE & RESPONSIBILITES
-Someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys creating order.
-MUST truly enjoy both engaging with children and running an organized, well-functioning home.
-MUST take initiative and notice what needs to be done
-MUST be assertive and ask questions to build a great rhythm.
-MUST be comfortable and proactively manage a home independently so afternoons and evenings run smoothly.
REQUIREMENTS
• 5+ years experience in a similar role
• Long-term, full-time experience working for one family at a time strongly preferred
• Excellent references
• Legal to work in the United States
• Driver’s license and clean driving record
• A strong swimmer
• Comfortable with pets
• Flexibility, occasional early mornings / later evenings when a parent is traveling or school is not in session, with additional pay
• Valid driver’s license (7+ years) + clean record
• Reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
