About the Family

This opportunity is with a warm and traditional family residing in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. The family is seeking a compassionate and patient companion to provide dedicated support to the father, who requires assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and participates in a structured exercise and brain stimulation program. The household values a tidy and well-sanitized environment, reflecting their commitment to cleanliness and order. The companion will play a vital role in supporting both the father and mother, helping to ease the daily household responsibilities and ensuring a comfortable, respectful atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Assist father with all activities of daily living, including mobility support such as standing, walking, and transfers as needed
  • Facilitate and support the father’s daily exercise and brain stimulation program from 10am to 5pm
  • Provide assistance with laundry, bedding changes, and lunch preparation
  • Maintain a clean and well-sanitized home environment in accordance with family standards
  • Drive father to occasional appointments, haircuts, and community outings
  • Accompany family on weekend visits to their nearby summer home
  • Collaborate with overnight caregiver to ensure continuity of care, especially regarding CPAP mask management and morning hygiene

Ideal Candidate & Personality

The ideal companion will be a strong, sweet, and patient individual who embodies traditional Christian values. A calm and respectful demeanor with appropriate language is essential. Experience or training in mobility assistance is highly beneficial. Reliability, discretion, and a genuine desire to support the family’s well-being are paramount.

Requirements

  • Ability to work full-time, live-in or live-out
  • Experience assisting with activities of daily living and mobility support
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain household cleanliness and assist with laundry and meal preparation
  • Valid driver’s license and comfort driving for errands and appointments
  • Non-smoker with a professional and respectful demeanor
  • Willingness to adhere to the family’s standards of a tidy, sanitized home environment
  • Availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
