Part-time Housekeeper in Noho Manhattan, NY)
Employer: Private family of four
Location: Noho, Manhattan, New York, NY (5‑bedroom, 4,500 sq ft apartment)
Hours: 9 am – 6 pm….2 days a week (Monday and Thursday or Friday) or 3 days a week (Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday)
Compensation: $40/hour
Job Responsibilities
- Full Housekeeping: Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, bathroom & kitchen cleaning, and maintaining all common areas to a high standard.
- Laundry & Ironing: Wash, dry, fold, and iron the family’s clothing, linens, and towels; ensure proper sorting and handling of delicate items.
- Home Organization: Keep pantry, closets, and other storage spaces orderly; label containers, declutter as needed, and suggest efficient storage solutions.
- Pet Care: Provide gentle supervision of a small, friendly dog (feeding, brief playtime, and ensuring the pet’s safety).
- Report any maintenance or repair issues observed during duties to the parents promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a private residence.
Essential Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the specified weekend schedule.
- Experience with detailed residential housekeeping and deep‑cleaning techniques.
- Comfortable handling laundry, ironing, and organizing various household spaces.
- Dog‑friendly and comfortable around small, friendly pets.
- Great communication skills and ability to follow household preferences.
Desired Experience
- 4+ years of professional housekeeping or residential cleaning experience, preferably in large upscale homes.
- Previous experience with laundry and ironing for a family household.
- Experience organizing pantry or closet spaces and implementing efficient storage systems.
- Familiarity with eco‑friendly or non‑toxic cleaning products is a plus.
