Full-Time Housekeeper/ Family Assistant
Location: Logan Square
Schedule: 4 Days Per Week | 40 Hours Per Week
Compensation: $30–$35 per hour
Children: Two children, ages 2 and 4
Position Overview
We are seeking a warm, nurturing, and highly dependable Housekeeper / Family Assistant to support our family and help maintain a well-run household. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys working with young children, takes pride in maintaining an organized home, and is proactive in anticipating household needs. The candidate will be spending more time completing household responsibilities rather than working with children.
Job Requirements & Responsibilities
Driving
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Safely transport children to and from school and activities
Travel
- No travel required
Errands
- Weekly household errands as needed
Morning Routine
- Prepare children for school each morning
- Assist with washing faces, brushing teeth and hair, and getting dressed
- Prepare and serve breakfast
- Apply sunscreen before school/daytime activities
- Transport children to school safely and on time
Afternoon Routine
- Pick children up from school
- Transport children to after-school programs and activities as needed
- Provide attentive, engaging care throughout the afternoon
Housekeeping & Household Organization
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming home environment, including:
- Family laundry (wash, dry, fold, and put away)
- Wiping down kitchen surfaces and maintaining cleanliness
- Keeping the refrigerator organized and disposing of expired food
- Vacuuming and Swiffer mopping floors
- Organizing children’s closets, drawers, bookshelves, toys, and art supplies
- General tidying and household upkeep
Meal Preparation
- Prepare lunches for the children
- Assist with family dinner preparation
- Cook select meals and dishes as needed
