Weekend Family Assistant/Nanny – Tribeca, NYC-work alongside another nanny

A busy Tribeca family is seeking an experienced Weekend Nanny / Household Manager to join their well-staffed household. The family has three daughters, ages 5, 3, and 2, with a fourth baby arriving at year-end.

This is a very busy household, and the ideal candidate will be an experienced nanny who has worked in a fully staffed home, is highly organized and proactive, and can work seamlessly with the existing nanny while taking a leadership role when needed.

Schedule

Friday–Sunday, approximately 7:00 AM–7:00 PM- 36 hours

• Must be consistently available on weekends.
• Must be available to sleep over Friday and Saturday nights when requested, particularly when the family returns to the city late.
• The family sometimes leaves for the Hamptons on Fridays, which this role will accompany them, so the schedule can vary.

Responsibilities

• Care for four children as the family grows
• Tag-team with the other nanny and baby nurse
• Assist with morning/evening routines
• Prepare healthy children’s meals
• Children’s laundry, ironing and organization
• Pack/unpack for family travel using excel spreadsheets for organization 
• Organize children’s clothing and belongings
• Prepare second homes for family arrivals and ensure they are properly stocked
• Help prepare for trips, sometimes on short notice
• Support the weekday nanny and coordinate with household staff
• Assist with general household organization, vendor management, children’s calendar, organizing children’s events, etc.,
• Take initiative and see what needs to be done without always being asked

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced professional nanny with experience caring for multiple young children (minimum 7 years as a nanny and 3 years as a household manager)
• Experience in busy, fully staffed/UHNW households and multiple residences and New York City experience preferred 
• Highly organized, proactive, flexible, and adaptable
• Strong team player who can also take a leadership role
• Experienced with family travel and packing
• Confident, safe driver with a valid driver’s license
• Comfortable preparing healthy meals
• Warm, energetic, engaging, and passionate about working with children

Compensation & Benefits

• up to $45 per hour, on the books, depending on experience
• 10 paid vacation days
• Choose 3 paid holidays off per year, with worked holidays paid at time and a half 
• Overnight compensation when applicable
• Annual bonus based on performance
