The Ideal Candidate

A private family is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly capable Nanny/Family Assistant to help care for their children and keep the family’s busy household running smoothly. The ideal candidate will be warm, energetic, organized, and comfortable balancing childcare with the day-to-day logistics of a busy family.

This position is best suited for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children while also taking initiative with household coordination, vendors, scheduling, errands, and family logistics. The family is looking for someone dependable who can anticipate needs, provide hands-on support, and help make daily life easier for everyone.

They are seeking someone who wants a long-term position and can become a trusted part of the family’s routine.

What Works Best for the Family

The family is looking for a full-time, live-out employee, ideally working approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. A typical schedule may be around 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, although the exact hours and responsibilities can be discussed based on the candidate’s strengths and the family’s needs. They are flexible on exact hours/days.

The family has been without consistent household support for some time and is looking for someone who can step in, take ownership of responsibilities, and help the household run more efficiently. Occasional overnight care and family travel will be part of the position once the candidate and family have established a comfortable working relationship.

Relocation assistance is available if needed for an exceptional candidate. The family prefers a live-out arrangement but is open to possible housing help.

Requested Duration: Long-Term

About the Family

  • Organization: Help keep family routines organized and anticipate upcoming needs.
  • School and Activity Support: Assist with school-related logistics, activities, and transitions throughout the day.
  • Flexibility: Be willing to adjust responsibilities as the family’s needs evolve and work collaboratively with other household staff or specialists.
  • Overnight Care and Travel: Provide occasional overnight care, approximately two to three nights per month as needed, and be willing to travel with the family occasionally.

Position Requirements

  • Work Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday. A typical 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule is anticipated, with flexibility.
