Position: Full-Time Family Assistant
Location: Philadelphia & Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 40 hours per week (flexible, based on needs)
Compensation: $30–$35/hour – could be flexible within reason for the right fit

Position Overview

A busy business owner and mother is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and tech-savvy Family Assistant to support both household and business operations. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires someone who can seamlessly shift between personal errands, administrative tasks, and occasional childcare support. The position involves regular travel between the family’s home in Bala Cynwyd, their offices (Philadelphia and Bala Cynwyd), and local vendors.

The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Important Health Requirement

Due to an autoimmune condition within the household, all candidates must be fully up-to-date on vaccinations. This is a non-negotiable requirement to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily errands including shopping, returns, mailing, and pickups for both home and office
  • Transport and organize office supplies and deliveries between locations
  • Assist with occasional school pick-ups/drop-offs for two children (ages 4 & 8)
  • Help with light pet-related tasks for a small dog
  • Provide administrative support at the office, including reception duties, note-taking, and general assistance
  • Handle personal assistant tasks such as sourcing gifts, party supplies, and special purchases
  • Maintain inventory of household and office supplies, ensuring spaces are consistently stocked and organized
  • Assist with scheduling, calendar management, email correspondence, and phone communication
  • Support social media posting and light content editing (preferred experience with platforms/tools)
  • Assist with light bookkeeping and basic accounting tasks (a plus)
  • Maintain organized records, documentation, and systems across home and office

Ideal Candidate

  • Reliable, proactive, and able to anticipate needs before being asked
  • Tech-savvy, especially comfortable with Apple products and digital tools
  • Strong communicator with polished verbal and written skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, discreet, and presents well
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Familiarity with Vietnamese or Cantonese is a plus, but not required

Requirements

  • Must have a reliable vehicle and clean driving record
  • Fully vaccinated and up-to-date on all immunizations (required)
  • Minimum of 2 professional references
  • Able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
  • Willing to complete a personality assessment prior to hire
