Full-Time Nanny Needed for Preschool-Aged Child | Upper East Side, NYC
A family on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is seeking a dependable, experienced, and engaging full-time nanny to care for their 3.5-year-old daughter, who will be turning 4 later this year. The family is hoping to transition to a new nanny as the current school year wraps up and is looking for someone interested in a long-term role.
The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, organized, and experienced with preschool-aged children. The family values consistency and is looking for a nanny who can support early childhood development through educational play, social engagement, and structured daily routines.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Occasional flexibility appreciated on rare days
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and age-appropriate care for one preschool-aged child
- Plan and facilitate educational activities focused on early literacy, numbers, and school readiness
- Organize outings, play dates, and activities that encourage social interaction and engagement with peers
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child
- Maintain child-related organization, including tidying play areas and children’s items
- Support consistent routines and a positive daily structure
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding the child’s day and development
- Transport child to activities or outings as needed
Additional Details
- Child attends camp/school during part of the day, providing several hours for child-related meal preparation, planning activities, and organization
- Mandarin language skills are not required
- The family is seeking someone who enjoys staying active, social, and engaged with children in the community
Qualifications
- Prior professional nanny or childcare experience with preschool-aged children
- Strong references from previous employers
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Authorized to work in the United States
Compensation
- $27/hour
