Weekend Live-In Nanny | Tribeca, NYC

A dynamic and kind family based in Tribeca is seeking an intelligent, proactive, and enthusiastic Weekend Live-In Nanny to care for their two boys, ages 3 and 6. The ideal candidate is educationally focused, highly organized, and genuinely passionate about supporting children’s emotional, social, and academic growth.

The family is looking for a nanny who can provide engaging physical, emotional, and social stimulation while fostering independence, curiosity, friendships, and age-appropriate development. This role is ideal for someone who naturally thinks ahead, plans proactively, and thrives in a collaborative household environment.

The children attend school full-time during the week. The position is live-in from Friday evening through Sunday evening each weekend.

Schedule

  • Friday at 8:00 PM through Sunday at 8:00 PM
  • Guaranteed pay through the end of the 2026–2027 school year (July 1, 2027)
  • Opportunity to extend for the right candidate if willing to relocate with the family to Florida in Summer 2027

Responsibilities

  • Accompany the children to weekend activities, outings, and appointments
  • Support skill-building in areas such as self-care, executive functioning, independent play, and social-emotional learning
  • Proactively plan games, educational activities, and enriching experiences that encourage academic and developmental growth
  • Coordinate and supervise playdates and social activities
  • Maintain consistency with routines while remaining adaptable in a dynamic household environment
  • Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children
  • Keep children’s rooms, play spaces, and communal areas clean, organized, and tidy
  • Maintain the children’s schedules and manage a shared calendar for activities, birthdays, and classes
  • Pack for travel and ensure school and extracurricular bags are prepared and organized
  • Collaborate closely with parents, the weekday nanny, and additional service providers including occupational therapists and speech therapists

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field is highly preferred
  • Special education experience or training is highly desired
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional nanny experience
  • Prior experience tutoring or facilitating educational development within a nanny role is required
  • Experience working with neurodivergent children, including ADHD, ADD, ASD, or twice-exceptional (2e) children
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification

Requirements

  • Valid U.S. Passport, Green Card, or Employment Authorization Card
  • Seeking a long-term commitment and demonstrated reliability
  • Willingness to actively engage the children outdoors daily in all weather conditions
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally during long weekends and school breaks
  • Comfortable sharing childcare responsibilities with the weekday nanny during travel
  • Strong swimming ability required
  • Valid driver’s license highly preferred
  • Comfortable managing sole-charge care during weekends
  • Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with parents, caregivers, and outside providers
  • Warm, energetic, kind, and engaging presence
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently without micromanagement
  • Able to instill manners, structure, and values in a firm yet loving manner
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, clean, and proactive personality

Compensation & Benefits

  • $45–$55 per hour, depending on experience
  • Additional overnight stipend of $150 per night
