Position: Full-Time Property Caretaker
Location: Wake Forest, NC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM (flexible)
Salary: $30–$40/hour DOE

About the Position
A private family in Wake Forest, NC is seeking an experienced, hands-on Property Caretaker to maintain three properties located within 15–20 minutes of each other. The family is looking for one dedicated individual to take ownership of the maintenance, landscaping, and overall appearance of their properties rather than relying on multiple landscaping companies.
The ideal candidate is meticulous, self-motivated, and passionate about maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys doing the work themselves, takes initiative, and does not require constant direction or supervision.
Responsibilities
Property & Grounds Maintenance
- Maintain three properties, including an 11-acre property with a 1-acre pond, approximately 7 acres of maintained grounds, and a third property under 1 acre.
- Perform mowing, pruning, weeding, trimming, and general landscape maintenance.
- Maintain gardens, fruit trees, greenhouse, and landscaped areas.
- Maintain irrigation systems and troubleshoot issues.
- Oversee pond care, including koi ponds and a large natural pond with fish and water flowing in from other sources.
- Use environmentally conscious treatments and pest control methods that are safe for fish, plants, and surrounding wildlife.
- Maintain and beautify the grounds, keeping all outdoor spaces pristine.
Hardscaping & Outdoor Features
- Maintain patios, verandas, stonework, travertine, pavers, and other hardscaped areas.
- Identify and repair damaged or cracked stonework, including sourcing replacement materials.
- Maintain outdoor kitchens, grotto, and other outdoor living areas.
- Handle hands-on projects such as stone walls, landscaping improvements, and general property enhancements.
- Keep all outdoor structures and features clean and in excellent condition.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in property caretaking, groundskeeping, landscaping, or estate maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping, irrigation, hardscaping, and general exterior maintenance.
- Experience maintaining natural ponds, koi ponds, and water features highly preferred.
- Knowledge of environmentally safe landscaping practices and pest control.
- Ability to perform stonework repairs and hands-on property improvement projects.
- Comfortable maintaining large acreage and operating landscaping equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong references and proven experience working independently.
