About the Position: A private family in North Miami Beach, FL is seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Housekeeper to join their established household team. This is a large luxury estate requiring exceptional housekeeping standards, attention to detail, and professionalism.
Reporting directly to the Estate Manager, the Lead Housekeeper will oversee, train, and support the housekeeping team while remaining actively involved in daily cleaning and household care. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who genuinely enjoys housekeeping, leads by example, and thrives in a fully staffed private residence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and support the housekeeping team, assigning daily tasks and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintain cleaning schedules, checklists, and established household routines.
- Perform detailed, museum-quality cleaning, including the care of fine artwork, antiques, silver, and delicate furnishings.
- Oversee laundry, ironing, steaming, wardrobe care, and dry-cleaning coordination.
- Maintain organized closets, bedrooms, living spaces, and household storage areas.
- Assist with packing and unpacking for the principals’ travel.
- Manage household inventories, supplies, and client preferences.
- Prepare the residence for the principals’ arrivals, guests, and special events.
- Assist with entertaining, table settings, and room preparation.
- Work collaboratively with household staff and assist wherever needed.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of housekeeping experience in a large luxury private residence.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, and training housekeeping staff.
- Expertise in specialty cleaning, fine furnishings, artwork care, laundry, and wardrobe management.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Comfortable using smartphones, technology, and online purchasing.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Flexible availability for occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to successfully complete background and reference checks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation, and perform physically demanding housekeeping duties.
