A private couple is seeking an experienced, trustworthy, and detail-oriented housekeeper to care for their homes in Palm Beach, Aspen, and New York. This position includes housing in Palm Beach in your own private two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, as well as separate private living quarters within the family’s home in Aspen during the summer months. The Palm Beach apartment is yours approximately 95% of the time, with the second bedroom occasionally needed for visiting adult family members for just a few weekends throughout the year.

The family spends approximately nine months of the year in Palm Beach, Florida, and the summer months in Aspen, Colorado, with occasional trips to their New York residence.

The ideal candidate will have long-term experience working in high-end private homes and be comfortable with full housekeeping, laundry, ironing, organization, grocery shopping, and preparing healthy family meals as needed. The family strongly values and prefers candidates with a history of long-term positions.

The family is looking for someone who is efficient, capable, and highly organized, with a strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative. The position will be based primarily in Palm Beach for approximately nine months of the year, with a seasonal move to Aspen during the summer and occasional travel to New York.

Housing is provided in both Palm Beach and Aspen:

• Palm Beach, FL: A private two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is provided for the housekeeper. The apartment is yours approximately 95% of the time. The couple’s adult children may visit for a few weekends throughout the year and occasionally use the second bedroom, but this is infrequent.
• Aspen, CO: During the summer months, the housekeeper will live in separate private quarters within the family’s home. These accommodations include a bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom.
• New York, NY: The family occasionally visits their New York apartment, and the housekeeper may travel with them and stay at the residence as needed, generally for just a few days.

Position Responsibilities

• Housekeeping: Maintain the homes to a high standard of cleanliness, including bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, bedrooms, and other household spaces.
• Laundry & Ironing: Handle household laundry, ironing, and proper care of clothing and linens.
• Organization: Keep the home organized, maintain designated storage areas, and ensure household items are properly put away.
• Cooking: Prepare healthy family meals as needed. The family frequently dines out in Palm Beach, so cooking is generally expected approximately one or two days per week, depending on their schedule.
• Grocery Shopping: Assist with grocery shopping and ensure groceries are put away neatly and organized properly.
• Household Management: Take initiative in maintaining the home, anticipating needs, and ensuring daily household tasks are completed efficiently.
• Travel: Travel between the family’s residences in Palm Beach, Aspen, and New York as needed.
• Pet Care: Assist with basic household-related pet care as needed.

Position Requirements

• Work Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility to accommodate the family’s travel and seasonal residence schedule.
• Location: Primarily Palm Beach, FL, with summers in Aspen, CO, and occasional travel to New York, NY.
• Living Arrangements: Housing provided. A private two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in Palm Beach and separate private living quarters within the family’s home in Aspen during the summer months.
• Experience: Previous professional housekeeping experience in high-end private homes. Experience caring for large homes and working for UHNW families is strongly preferred.
• Cooking: Comfortable preparing healthy family meals.
• References: Minimum of two professional long-term references.
• Background: Must pass a comprehensive background check upon offer of hire.
• Personality Traits: Trustworthy, discreet, detail-oriented, organized, proactive, efficient, and able to work independently.
• Vaccination: Must be comfortable meeting the family’s vaccination requirements due to a household member’s medical circumstances.

Position Compensation

• Salary: Starting around $100,000+ annually, depending on experience. The family is open to negotiating for the right candidate!
• Benefits: Paid holidays and paid vacation, typically two weeks of PTO.
• Health Insurance: May be considered after six months for the right long-term fit but is not initially included.
• Payroll: Payroll position.
