A warm, professional family in Delmar, New York, is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and dependable full-time nanny to care for their almost 2-year-old daughter. Both parents work full time, with some flexibility to work remotely, and are looking for a nanny who can become a trusted and valued part of their family’s daily routine.
The ideal candidate will be attentive, proactive, and genuinely passionate about early childhood development. Responsibilities will include providing loving care, preparing simple meals, maintaining the child’s daily routine, and engaging her in age-appropriate activities such as reading, play, and other developmental experiences.
The family values open communication, professionalism, cleanliness, and a collaborative relationship with their nanny. Occasional domestic travel with the family may be required for work-related trips.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for a toddler.
- Manage daily routines, including feeding, bathing, and other age-appropriate personal care.
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks for the child.
- Plan engaging activities that encourage learning, creativity, and developmental growth.
- Read, play, and interact with the child to support language development and social skills.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for the child, including tidying up after activities and meals.
- Follow the parents’ preferences and instructions regarding routines, boundaries, and childcare.
- Communicate regularly with the parents about the child’s daily activities, progress, and needs.
- Provide gentle, consistent guidance while encouraging independence appropriate for the child’s age.
- Accompany the family on occasional domestic trips as needed.
